FILMS FOR A COZY WINTER EVENING (1)

No matter if it is a snowy winter or rather autumn, we all lack comfort. And what can create comfort? Of course, the hugs of loved ones, a warm blanket, mulled wine, delicious food and a good movie.

Recently, we all watched Home Alone and Harry Potter for the thousandth time. Do we all? Can we wait until next winter? No, the film industry doesn’t end there. I have personally selected a selection of great movies that will give you bright emotions on these cold evenings. If you haven’t watched them yet, wrap up warm and enjoy them.

The Kissing Booth (2018)

On the face of it, it’s a simple teen movie about love and stuff, but it’s worth a watch for everyone. The story tells about Ellie, a high school student who stands out among her peers. But despite her uniqueness and attractiveness, the girl has never kissed. She has a best friend with whom they have created a set of rules and it has held everyone back. Everything would be fine, but at the same time, our heroine begins to pay attention to her girlfriend’s older brother. And then everything changes completely. By the way, this film has a second part, no less cool.

8 First Dates (2012)

Do you believe in destiny? If yes, you will love this movie. Vera and Nikita have never met, but fate decides in its own way. A light comedy about a man and a woman who, regardless of where they slept, wake up together every morning. How many such first dates will they have? And how will this story end? After all, the main characters already have soulmates.

The Intern (2015)

Widower Ben Whittaker has nothing to do after retirement, but finds an ad for interns and decides to give it a try. The company itself is connected to the fashion industry and is run by the young Jules, who is skeptical of Ben. At first, it is difficult for Ben to immerse himself in everything new and unusual for him, but a subtle mind and the ability not to give up do their job. As a result, he quickly learns everything.

The company itself is going through hard times, and Jules is torn between her career and her personal life. But now she is not alone – there is Ben.

The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

Another great movie starring Anne Hathaway. Andy Sachs arrives in the huge city of New York with ambitions and dreams of becoming a journalist. But everything goes according to plan, and she becomes assistant editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine. Everything would be fine, but the girl does not understand fashion at all. And her boss is just a devil. But she needs this job because it opens a lot of doors and Andy will do anything to stay in that position.

Little Women (2019)

Actually, this movie is a remake but very chic and with a good cast. The story of the four March sisters, whose fate is not easy. The girls and their mother live in a small estate in the suburbs while their father fights in the Civil War. Therefore, all the responsibility rests on the fragile shoulders of the sisters.

But a poor financial situation does not prevent girls from dreaming big. Meg, the eldest of the sisters, dreams of becoming a beautiful and rich actress. Jo is very energetic, and what she likes most is writing stories and dreams of becoming a writer. Amy is very curious and can draw. And the youngest, Beth, can’t hear music.

Christmas for Two (2019)

The main character Kate works as an elf in a Christmas shop goes to failed auditions, gets drunk in bars, and sleeps with different men. The girl lives with her parents and nothing in her life is going well.

One day, Kate sees Tom on the street. He is strange, he does not have a mobile phone, even in the cold he uses a bicycle, and he works as a volunteer in a shelter. In addition, he often disappears somewhere. And he attracts the young girl with something. But this acquaintance is useful only for her. Kate gives up her bad habits and remembers her dream of becoming a singer. This movie will surely give you some magic.

Love and Other Drugs (2010)

Anne Hathaway has the ability to embellish and add emotion to any film. And this was no exception. A beautiful and mostly life story about a girl suffering from Parkinson’s disease and a man who is not ready to give up and most of all wants to be with her. But the heroine does not want to “give” her problems to her beloved and tries to simply enjoy life. Do they have a future?

Love, Rosie

Alex and Rosie are best friends who have been together since childhood. They were always close, they didn’t even have secrets from each other. But in the end, the children grew up, and now Rosie is a young beautiful girl, and Alex is an equally attractive man. The friendship took on new colors and everything pointed to the fact that they should be together. But after the prom, Rosie got emotional, slept with the handsome boy from school, and got pregnant.

Alex decides that he will get an education abroad. And now Rosie is raising an adorable baby and Alex is about to marry someone else. But the old feelings haven’t gone away. Will they be able to forget the past and be together again?

Well, my little selection is over. And while not all of the movies here are holiday-themed, I assure you that the spirit of magic and something special will be present.
