Flag of Brazil: meaning and image
Based on the old flag of the Empire of Brazil, the most recent edition of the flag of this country includes 27 stars that represent all the states of Brazil. This adaptation of the flag of yesteryear designed by Jean-Baptiste Debret in 1820 was the work of the members of the Positivist Church composed of Raimundo Teixeira, Miguel Lemos, and Manuel Pereira Reis.
