Oleg Vinnik was born in the village of Verbovka, Cherkasy region, on July 31, 1973. He graduated from high school in the village of Krasny Kut in the neighboring district.
From childhood, Oleg took an active part in school amateur performances, showing great talent for singing. The future star learned to play the electric guitar as a child.
After leaving school, the young man entered the choirmaster department of the Kanev School of Culture. Then Oleg was lucky: the teachers, seeing a gift in him, persuaded him to change course and take up vocals. During these years, Oleg Vinnik first appeared on stage – as a guitarist in a local band.
After studying, the Cherkasy Philharmonic became the first place of work – at the age of 20, a gifted young man became its soloist.

Oleg Vinnik in Germany
As part of cultural exchange, Oleg Vinnik ends up in Germany. During an internship, a young man sees a poster for a musical for the first time and understands: this is what he would like to do! But first, Vinnik starts his acting career – he receives an offer from the Lüneburg Theater (Lower Saxony), where he performs parts in the opera TOSCA and the operetta PAGANINI.
Oleg is intensively engaged in vocals, improving his skills. Significant for him is the meeting with the American vocal teacher John Lehman, who was delighted with the talent of the young singer. In the course of a two-year study in Hamburg, Oleg polishes his skills and, with the help of an authoritative music teacher, masters a new voice range of a lyric-dramatic tenor. Oleg’s vocal spectrum has expanded significantly in the performance of various stage roles, he easily sings both tenor and baritone.

“I don’t have a housekeeper. I can cook everything except baking. I can try some dish in a restaurant and cook at home just as well, or maybe better! If guests come, I surprise them with Thai and Cantonese dishes, or Ukrainian borscht!” – says Oleg.
First starring role
The first musicals with the participation of OLEGG – Vinnik chose such a creative pseudonym – became trial roles. For 2 years on tour, the singer played the role of Lucentio from the musical “KISS ME KATE”, followed by the roles of Phoebus and Clopin in the Broadway production of the musical “Notre Dame Cathedral” and the role of Robert Hitchens and Bricot in the production of “Titanic” (2002-2003).
But the breakthrough that secured star status for Oleg Vinnik was the musical Les Misérables based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. The 2003 production was a huge success, largely due to the role of Jean Valjean, performed by Oleg. For her, the singer received the title of “New Grand Voice of 2003” according to the European music publication “DA CAPO”.

“Because they have real, living feelings! Perhaps this touches on the lyrics, in my music. If I had not experienced and felt all the emotions that I sing about, I would not go on stage.
I wrote the first song “The Fragrance of My Dreams” in 2003. I showed it to professionals in Ukraine (I didn’t know how to make arrangements then)… And Volodya Bebeshko said: “Otse ten!” He shot a very beautiful and expensive clip on it (then they were still filming). And then off we go.”
Family of Oleg Vinnik
The singer’s father tragically died a few years ago. Oleg told this story in one of his interviews, answering the question of why his parents never appear at the concerts of their famous son.
“My father never made it to my performance. I then gave the first big concert in Ukraine after returning from Germany. My father became ill on the way to me. Probably, he was nervous and, under the influence of positive emotions, his heart could not stand it. Immediately after the concert, I went to my father in the hospital with all the flowers that they gave me. But I didn’t have time. He died without attending my performance, ”recalls Oleg Vinnik.
Mother of Oleg Vinnik
According to the artist, the mother was present in the hall only once. Despite the secrecy, the artist’s fans somehow found out about this and shouted out this information during the performance. According to Oleg, he did not expect this and was even afraid for his mother – after all, the woman is already at an advanced age.
At the end of 2017, the mother of Oleg Vinnik was at the center of a scandal: one of the artist’s fans found out the address of an elderly woman and showed up at her house, demanding to let her in – the fan lied that Vinnik “promised to shelter her.” The tragic consequence of such a visit was a stroke in the artist’s mother.
On May 28, 2018, it became known that the artist’s mother had died. According to the singer, his mother asked him not to cancel his concerts under any circumstances, as she considered his work to be the main mission in her son’s life. Oleg dedicated his concert the day after the tragic event to the memory of his mother.
Personal life of Oleg Vinnik
The fact that the singer’s heart is already taken first became known in 2016. In an interview, Oleg Vinnik admitted that he was in love. His girlfriend is Ukrainian, but the couple does not appear together at public events.
According to Vinnik, he is not going to comment on his personal life, but if he officially proposes to his chosen ones, he will definitely tell his fans about it. In the meantime, there is no “that same stamp” in his passport, the artist jokes.
Later, in 2017, Oleg Vinnik said in an interview:
“Have you seen my wife? Did not see it! Because everything personal is taboo. Naturally, at 43, a man cannot be alone. But I don’t do any crime by not talking about my personal life. Personally, I’m not interested in whom and how my colleagues live. I wonder how they work on stage.”
As for the fans, everything happened in Oleg’s concert life, and he is clearly not deprived of the attention of women. However, he never develops relationships with fans and does not believe in love at first sight.
“I don’t go on dates with fans. I am pleased with their attention, but this success does not turn my head. When I sang in musicals, I already experienced it in Europe: girls came up to concerts and said: “I want a child from you!” … I try to translate this into a joke, ”the singer admits.
Oleg Vinnik’s wife – Tayune?
The beginning of 2018 was marked by a new scandal around the person of Vinnik. Journalists from one of the Ukrainian TV channels conducted an investigation, during which they allegedly found out: the singer is married.
Arriving in the artist’s native village, the paparazzi allegedly asked his fellow villagers about the artist’s personal life and found out that Oleg had been married for a long time, his wife was Vinnik’s backing vocalist Taisiya Svatko, the girl’s stage name was Tayune. Local residents claim that Oleg and Taisiya came to their historical homeland together and did not hide the fact that they had been together for many years.
Taisiya is a year younger than Oleg. It is difficult to understand how true this information is. The producer of the artist reacted to the journalistic investigation very sharply – he posted a statement on his social networks that the artist ceases all cooperation with the “guilty” TV channel and threatened the media with a court for fiction:
“On January 5, when your film crew with microphones and cameras hung on the fence of Oleg’s parental home, I left Kyiv in the direction of the village. I traveled everywhere where you inherited, not a single decent person agreed to answer your questions, but you need to justify a business trip and two days of shooting, so they blinded the plot from what happened. Even the story of the song “Nino” was pulled by the ears. A hundred times Oleg told everything in detail in an interview. They frightened the girl in the store, they themselves came up with everything and believed it themselves. They made a sensation out of delirium, ”wrote producer Oleg Vinnik.
The famous singer himself was apparently furious after his secret side of life was rudely made public. Oleg Vinnik commented on the journalists’ trick quite sharply:
“Many people want to know about my personal life. What for? Well, they found out that I have, for example, 12 children and six wives. Think! Everyone has wives, children, parents. Yes, everyone has panties. Okay, okay, everyone saw both the family and the underwear. And then what?
Oleg Vinnik has a son
Oleg did not mention his children in any of the Ukrainian interviews. However, for the inhabitants of Germany, his marital status has not been a secret for a long time.
Back in 2005, in an interview with a journalist from one of the German publications, Oleg Vinnik talked about his son. Answering one of the questions during the interview, Oleg admitted that he was very happy that his wife and a small child moved closer to Stuttgart, where the singer lived and worked at that moment. In addition, Vinnik told how he suffers from separation from the baby: they say, he really feels that he cannot do without a family for a long time when he returns from tour and learns about important changes – for example, that his son began to walk.

“I am hurt by what is happening. People are dying every day – and everyone needs to think about how to stop this, stop the war and enmity. Everything in this life is passing, all wars will end sooner or later, after wars there is pain and monuments with the faces of young guys.”
