According to Ayurveda, love and sex are completely different things, although they can go hand in hand. According to Ayurveda, sex is just a mechanism for procreation. According to the doctrine, it is possible to enjoy intimacy with another person without sex, but there is also the concept of sexual compatibility and different types of people by nature.
Sexual compatibility according to Ayurveda
Problems in the bedroom can also arise due to the fact that a man and a woman do not take into account each other’s type of constitution. And such types, as evidenced by Ayurveda, three: “air”, “fire” and “earth”. How to determine your type?
Hindus claim that the world was created by a game of five elements: water, earth, wind, fire, and ether.
In man the elements give rise to three doshas (types):
- Cotton wool (“air” + “ether”),
- Pitta (“fire”),
- Kapha (“earth” + “water”).
Pure types are usually not found: each of us is dominated by one or two doshas. Harmony in the family and in bed can be achieved if you know yourself and your partner better.
Ayurvedic dosha – pitta
Character: energetic, explosive, aggressive. People of fire need to control everything, and subordinate to everyone. At the same time, they are brave, purposeful, and smart.
Sexuality. Their motto is “come, see, win”. Pitts is ready to have sex for hours. Sexual intercourse itself is unlikely to belong, but they recover quickly and are ready to continue.
What to expect from them. Domination – they like to impose their desires on their partners.
What not to expect? Pitts strive for their own pleasure. If the chosen one does not share the passion, go to the side. But in the case of sexual compatibility, the fire in the pair will burn for a long time.

Ayurvedic dosha – Vata
Character: impulsive, changeable, freedom-loving. People are constantly on the move, they are interested in everything, and they are never bored.
Sexuality. Cotton wool – great romantics, try to make intimacy sublimely beautiful. They can wait for love for years, and if they are lucky enough to meet the “same” person, they become wonderful lovers. But spiritual intimacy for them is always more important than physical.

Ayurvedic dosha – Kapha
Character: calm, slow, thorough. People of this type are extremely prone to fullness. But they are best adapted to difficulties – they do not waste energy in vain, but spend it sparingly.
Sexuality. Kapha is a bit lazy and conservative but endured. If she is “rocked”, she will not stop: sex gives her pleasure.
What to expect from them: loyalty, participation, and care. But people of this type are terrible owners, and their concern is more like control.
What not to expect: sophistication and a flight of fancy. Kapha is by no means a gourmet – neither in food nor in sex.
