from Edge Chromium show. This web recording is nothing more than a hard copy or screenshot function. But absolutely helpful for taking screenshots of certain websites or parts of websites.
You can do this integrated web recording in the Edge Chromium, on the one hand, using the key combination
Call up CTRL + Shift + S or you simply right-click anywhere on the website and then select the ” Web recording ” function from the context menu that appears, as you can see in our illustration below.
After you have started the ” web recording “, the mouse pointer turns into a small crosshair and you can mark the area of the website that you want to cut or copy to the clipboard with the left mouse button pressed. This looks like this, for example.
After you have selected the screenshot area, another small context menu appears and you can now decide whether the selected website section should be copied directly to the clipboard or whether you want to add a note or a drawing to the screenshot section. Different pen thicknesses and pen colors are available to you and you can then save and download the modified hardcopy directly as a JPG graphic file.
This means that you have a wonderful screenshot tool available directly in the Edge Chromium with which you can quickly and easily copy areas of a website. The name “ web recording ” is translated a bit unfortunate, but the function fulfills its purpose wonderfully and is a useful extension of the Edge browser.
